About Me

I’ve spent the better part of fifteen years exploring the Sahyadris — forts perched on impossible cliffs, waterfalls that only show up after the first good monsoon rain, and hill stations best visited slightly off-season. Some of these trips were solo and with friends, chasing a specific fort I’d read about for months. Others were with family, slower and easier, but no less memorable.

This blog started as a way to remember these trips for myself, and turned into something I hope helps other people plan theirs. Known earlier as Maajhibhatkanti (on wordpress), Sahyadri and Beyond is exactly that — the Sahyadri treks that started it all, and the wider travels — mountains, beaches, and everywhere in between — that came after.
